NeoCon 2026 concludes successfully, showcasing the future of commercial design
NeoCon 2026 concluded on a high note in Chicago, bringing together the global commercial interiors community for three days of innovation, networking, and thought leadership. From groundbreaking workplace solutions and immersive lighting showcases to sustainability-focused product launches and AI-driven discussions, the event reaffirmed its position as North America’s premier commercial design exhibition.
The 57th edition of NeoCon concluded in Chicago with a clear message: the future of commercial design is collaborative, technology-driven, human-centered, and increasingly connected. Held from June 8–10, 2026, at THE MART, with the addition of a new Preview Day on June 7, NeoCon once again reinforced its position as North America’s leading platform for commercial interiors, workplace design, furniture, lighting, materials, and architectural innovation.
Under the theme “Where Design Connects,” the event successfully brought together designers, architects, manufacturers, specifiers, facility managers, and thought leaders from around the world. With more than 400 exhibiting brands spread across seven floors and thousands of new product introductions, NeoCon 2026 showcased not only what is new but also what is next for the built environment.

The event featured hundreds of exhibitors across seven floors of THE MART, showcasing innovations in workplace furniture, lighting, flooring, textiles, architectural products, technology integration, healthcare design, hospitality solutions, and sustainable materials.
One of the standout additions to this year’s edition was the introduction of Preview Day, which provided attendees with early access to showrooms and installations before the official opening. The initiative was widely praised for creating additional opportunities for networking, business meetings, and product discovery.
Another major highlight was the launch of Illuminate at NeoCon, a dedicated lighting showcase that emphasized the growing importance of lighting in creating healthier, more productive, and experience-driven environments. The immersive exhibits and educational sessions demonstrated how lighting continues to evolve as a critical element of modern commercial design.

Throughout the event, workplace transformation remained a dominant theme. Exhibitors presented flexible furniture systems, adaptable workspaces, acoustic solutions, and collaborative environments designed to support hybrid work models and employee wellbeing. Sustainability also remained at the forefront, with manufacturers highlighting recyclable materials, circular design principles, and environmentally responsible production methods.
Technology and artificial intelligence emerged as key discussion points during NeoCon’s extensive educational programming. Industry experts explored how AI is influencing workplace planning, facility management, design workflows, and user experience while emphasizing the importance of maintaining a human-centered approach to innovation.
The conference program featured keynote presentations, NeoCon Talks, workshops, and CEU-accredited sessions addressing topics ranging from future workplace strategies and sustainability to leadership, resilience, and emerging technologies. Attendees had the opportunity to gain insights from some of the industry’s most influential thinkers and innovators.

The prestigious Best of NeoCon Awards once again celebrated excellence in product design and innovation. The annual competition recognized outstanding achievements across multiple categories, highlighting products that demonstrate exceptional functionality, sustainability, aesthetics, and commercial impact.
Industry participants reported strong visitor engagement throughout the event, with many exhibitors noting high-quality business interactions and renewed optimism regarding market opportunities in the commercial interiors sector.
As NeoCon 2026 draws to a close, the event leaves behind a clear message: the future of commercial design will be defined by collaboration, adaptability, sustainability, and meaningful human connections. Through groundbreaking product launches, thought-provoking discussions, and valuable networking opportunities, NeoCon once again demonstrated why it remains one of the most influential events in the global design calendar.
The industry now looks ahead to NeoCon 2027, which promises to build on the momentum generated by this year’s successful edition and continue shaping the next chapter of commercial design innovation.
