Dunelm opens New Kingston superstore, strengthening London presence

Dunelm has officially opened its new 34,000 sq ft Kingston superstore, bringing its latest retail concept to the heart of Kingston upon Thames. The new location combines inspirational home displays, omnichannel shopping services and community-focused initiatives, further strengthening the retailer’s growing presence across London.

UK homewares retailer Dunelm has officially opened its new superstore in Kingston upon Thames, marking a significant expansion of its London retail footprint and introducing its latest high-street store concept to one of the capital’s busiest shopping destinations.

Located at 69–75 Clarence Street in the former Marks & Spencer building, the new 34,000-square-foot store spans two floors and has been designed as a comprehensive home inspiration destination. The opening represents Dunelm’s third new-format London location, following successful launches in Westfield White City and Wandsworth.

The Kingston superstore showcases Dunelm’s extensive range of home furnishings and décor products, including bedding, curtains, made-to-measure solutions, kitchenware, storage systems, lighting, bathroom accessories, blinds and decorative home accents. Styled room displays throughout the store aim to help customers visualize products within real-life living spaces.

To enhance the shopping experience, the store features a redesigned Pausa café, self-checkout facilities and a dedicated Click & Collect hub, allowing customers to access online orders quickly and conveniently. Free Click & Collect services are available from launch, reinforcing the retailer’s omnichannel strategy.

The opening is also expected to create 48 new jobs in the local area while supporting community initiatives through Dunelm’s partnership with Age UK Richmond, including contributions to the refurbishment of the charity’s wellbeing centre.

Amanda Cox, Chief Operations Officer at Dunelm, described the Kingston location as a landmark site for the retailer, highlighting its transformation into a destination for home inspiration in the heart of the town centre.

The new Kingston store forms part of Dunelm’s wider growth strategy, which includes the opening of several new superstores across the UK as the company continues to expand its reach and bring its homewares offering closer to customers.
