EcoPump GW iD combines accurate coating delivery with durability, flexibility and simplified maintenance

Dürr has introduced the EcoPump GW iD, a new gear-type metering pump developed for precise and reliable paint dosing in industrial coating applications. The new solution is designed to support consistent coating quality while offering greater flexibility in system integration and reduced maintenance requirements.

The EcoPump GW iD is suitable for a wide range of common 1K and 2K coating materials and is available with flow rates from 9 to 900 ml/min. This broad operating range allows the pump to be adapted to different coating processes and application requirements, making it suitable for both new installations and upgrades to existing systems.

A key focus of the new pump is durability. The EcoPump GW iD comes with a standard Amorphous Diamond-Like Carbon (ADLC) coating, which is designed to provide a hard, wear-resistant surface and support reliable operation over an extended service life.

For additional protection, Dürr offers an optional bypass valve. In the event of excessive pressure, the valve automatically opens to relieve the pressure and help protect downstream application equipment. This feature is intended to reduce the impact of operating errors and improve overall process reliability.

The pump is also available in flushable versions featuring a patented shaft bearing. According to Dürr, this design can contribute to longer service intervals while helping reduce maintenance and repair requirements.

The EcoPump GW iD is designed to work with Dürr’s ready2integrate concept, which combines control technology, metering equipment and applicators into a coordinated solution. This approach is intended to simplify integration and commissioning while maintaining precise material delivery.

The new pump forms part of Dürr’s Fluid Board2, a compact system designed to integrate the components required for high-precision paint metering. It can also be retrofitted to the previous Fluid Board1, providing an upgrade path for existing installations. Alternatively, the EcoPump GW iD can be incorporated into existing coating systems as a standalone component.

With its combination of precise volumetric dosing, robust construction and flexible installation options, the EcoPump GW iD reflects the industry’s continuing focus on improving coating consistency, equipment reliability and production efficiency. For manufacturers operating automated painting systems, the new metering technology offers an option for upgrading paint delivery without necessarily requiring a complete overhaul of the existing process.
