Stoiber- portal nailing machine
The innovative StoNail 4000 from Stoiber is a perfect flexible portal nailing machine for modern pallet production. Specializing in offering solutions in sawmill technology Stoiber focuses of ensuring perfect shot at every hit. The machine was at the centre of attraction in LIGNA 2025.
The StoNail 4000 is the ideal solution for companies that value high flexibility and efficiency. As a fully automated portal nailing machine with an individually controllable nailing portal, it is designed to enable the precise implementation of a wide variety of pallet and crate
Thanks to its modular design, both two small pallets and one large pallet can be produced simultaneously across the entire working area. The six pneumatic nailers can be controlled independently of each other, allowing even complex nailing patterns and customer-specific layouts to be realized. This is supported by the height-adjustable nailing portal, which adapts flexibly to different product formats and is therefore also suitable for crate walls and special solutions.
The machine is operated via an intuitive 12-inch touch display, which enables simple control and seamless process monitoring thanks to its modern user interface. Downtimes are significantly reduced thanks to offline programming, as programs can be created and simulated outside the production environment to maximize efficiency. In addition, the automatic nailing path calculation is designed to ensure that the shortest and most effective path is always selected – a clear advantage for production speed and resource consumption.
The integrated MaxiCoil magazine with a capacity of up to 1,000 nails enables long production cycles without frequent reloading and is compatible with various nail types. For ergonomic operation, the machine has been designed with a stable frame and a 65 degree tilt angle, which should ensure comfortable operation and high operational safety.
According to the users, another advantage is the modular clamping system, which offers maximum flexibility when adapting to different pallet formats with manually adjustable stops and optional aluminum or laminated wood plates. The concept is rounded off by intelligent safety features such as integrated collision monitoring and safety devices that actively monitor the production process and minimize downtimes.
