This year event promises to be bigger than ever while bringing together around 700 exhibitors and the latest components, materials, accessories and technologies shaping the future of furniture.

The 17th edition of the International Exhibition of Components, Accessories and Semi-finished Products for the Furniture Industry, SICAM will once again bring together manufacturers and suppliers from across the world, offering a comprehensive view of the technologies and materials shaping contemporary furniture. SICAM 2026 is set to return to Pordenone, Italy on October 20.

“ SICAM is now a mature, well-established trade show, recognized by industry professionals from all over the world as playing an essential role: every October, it provides an unmissable opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and explore new developments; a place where those offering products and ideas can connect with those looking for solutions in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere… a ‘happy place’, as I like to call it, where doing business is not only an opportunity, but also a moment for dialogue and sharing,” commented Carolina Giobbi, Head of Marketing and Communications.

Beyond products: conversations shaping the industry

While products remain at the heart of SICAM, the 2026 programme extends the exhibition into wider questions facing the furniture sector.

The programme includes discussions around Ukraine’s reconstruction, opportunities in Vietnam and the United States, materials and technologies, the relationship between design and companies across the supply chain, and the connection between education and industry.

Among the initiatives is the Kyiv International Furniture Summit, while organisations including Federchimica Avisa, Catas, Finiture Green and ADI Friuli Venezia Giulia contribute perspectives on materials, technology, sustainability, design and education.

These conversations add another dimension to the event. The future of furniture is not being defined by products alone; it is also being shaped by changing markets, sustainability expectations, skills, technology and international collaboration.

A business-focused exhibition

SICAM has deliberately developed a format centred on business.

For exhibitors, the event combines exhibition infrastructure, logistics, communication, hospitality and visitor services. For visitors, the concentrated format makes it possible to explore a broad cross-section of the supply chain within a relatively focused environment.

The exhibition is aimed at professional operators across the wood and furniture industry, including furniture manufacturers, kitchen and bathroom producers, designers, architects, project managers, semi-finished product manufacturers, contractors, retailers, installers and specialist media.

That professional focus is important. SICAM is not simply about discovering new products; it is about turning those discoveries into relationships, projects and business opportunities.

Pordenone: a fitting stage

The location itself reinforces SICAM’s industrial character.

Pordenone lies within one of Italy’s important furniture manufacturing regions, making it a natural meeting point between manufacturing expertise and international business. Pordenone Fiere provides the setting across halls 1–9, with the exhibition running from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from 20 to 23 October.

The fairground is also conveniently connected to the city and railway station, with the station approximately 800 metres away.

Reading the future through the details

Perhaps the greatest value of SICAM lies in its ability to reveal how large changes in furniture design often begin with small details.

A new opening mechanism can change the way a kitchen is used. A new decorative surface can redefine an interior palette. A lighter component can influence manufacturing efficiency. A new adhesive, coating or finishing technology can alter both performance and appearance.

These developments may begin as individual innovations on an exhibition stand. Together, however, they provide a picture of where the furniture industry is moving.

And that is what makes SICAM 2026 particularly significant.

As furniture becomes more customised, technologically integrated, design-driven and conscious of material choices, the component industry is becoming increasingly important to the final product.

SICAM is where that story becomes visible—one material, mechanism, surface and component at a time.

From 20–23 October 2026, Pordenone will once again become a meeting place for the people and technologies behind the furniture of tomorrow.

SICAM 2026 is a meeting point for ideas, experience and global exchange.
