DACH+HOLZ International 2026 turns into the strongest edition ever. Focussing on shaping the future of timber and roofing construction, the event continued from February 24 to 27 at Cologne, Germany where industry professionals, architects, designers, manufacturers, innovators thronged to share mind and conduct powerful business.

DACH+HOLZ International 2026 breaks all previous records as this edition witnesses an outstanding participation of 56,000 visitors from across the globe. DACH+HOLZ International 2026 turns into the strongest edition ever, surpassing all its previous records of guests’ participation such as the attendance record of 47,000 in 2014. Focussing on shaping the future of timber and roofing construction, the event continued from February 24 to 27 at Cologne, Germany where industry professionals, architects, designers, manufacturers, innovators thronged to share mind and conduct powerful business.
DACH+HOLZ International -meeting point for the industry
Inspiring discussions, key meetings with industry leaders and discussion on futuristic vision on shaping the future of timber and roofing construction successfully turned the event ground into the “place to be” for the industry. The event welcomes professionals to explore innovations, novel developments in sustainable construction, roofing systems, and timber technologies. This year the event was a home to 564 exhibitors from 28 countries. They displayed a wide range of latest innovations, such as advanced timber construction materials, solar -integrated roofing systems, energy- efficient insulation solutions, and digital tools designed to improve construction efficiency. Live display of products coupled with interactive workspaces attracted visitors and helped them gain hands-on experience on modern carpentry techniques, smart building innovations and efficient machinery.

Sustainability – responsible innovations
Identifying sustainability as the primary focus, the participants demonstrated environmentally responsible materials and construction methods that will not will simplify the process, but also reduce the carbon footprint of construction. Timber, the eco-friendly natural material gained significant attention and encouraged builders to adopt wood-based solutions in structural purposes.
Awards and Accolades
No event is complete without holding a competition among its finest, and this year with about 30 companies participating in the Start-up & Innovation Award, Fixpod GmbH won the first place for a patented connection solution in timber construction. Their innovations simplify construction process by ensuring installation pipe transitions eliminating scopes of revision while improving the entire process and ensuring occupational safety. This unique system is used by over 300 timber construction companies.
Benetics AI achieves the second position for introducing an AI voice assistant for daily use on the construction sites, and the third place was secured by LeiKoSi GmbH and Lock Jaw Ladder Grip for solutions to improve ladder safety in the roofing trade.
The next DACH+HOLZ International will take place in Stuttgart from March 7 to 10 in 2028.
