Leading trade exhibition returns to Johannesburg with expanded opportunities for machinery suppliers, manufacturers, and industry professionals.

WoodEX for Africa 2026, Southern Africa’s leading trade exhibition dedicated to timber, woodworking machinery, tools, furniture manufacturing, and forestry, will return to the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg from 9–11 June 2026. The event is expected to bring together industry stakeholders from across Africa and international markets, reaffirming its position as a key gateway to the continent’s growing wood-processing sector.

Since its inception in 2012, WoodEX for Africa has evolved into one of the continent’s most influential trade platforms for the timber and woodworking industries. The exhibition consistently attracts exhibitors and visitors from more than 20 countries, providing a business-focused environment where manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, architects, contractors, and decision-makers can connect, explore innovations, and establish new partnerships.

The 2026 edition promises to showcase the latest advancements in woodworking machinery, CNC technology, sawmilling equipment, forestry solutions, furniture production systems, power tools, panels, laminates, coatings, and software solutions. Live machinery demonstrations and technical workshops are expected to offer visitors valuable insights into productivity-enhancing technologies and emerging manufacturing trends.

A major highlight of the exhibition will be its co-location with the construction-focused Big 5 Construct Southern Africa and the Deck & Flooring Expo, creating a broader business platform that encourages cross-industry collaboration and networking opportunities. The integrated event format allows attendees to explore developments across construction, interiors, flooring, and wood-based manufacturing sectors under one roof.

Organizers anticipate more than 3,500 visitors, over 150 exhibiting brands, and participation from more than 20 countries. The event’s continued growth reflects increasing investment in Africa’s woodworking and timber-processing industries, as demand rises for locally manufactured furniture, sustainable building materials, and value-added wood products.

WoodEX for Africa has established itself as a strategic marketplace where global suppliers can connect directly with African buyers and distributors. As the woodworking sector embraces automation, sustainability, and digital manufacturing technologies, the exhibition is expected to play a significant role in shaping the future of the industry across the region.
