interzum forum Italy wrapped its second edition on a high note
interzum forum italy wrapped its second edition attracting approximately 4,400 visitors from 71 countries and featuring 263 exhibitors from 26 countries.
The event, held June 4–5 at the Bergamo exhibition center, provided a platform for manufacturing companies, design studios, component suppliers, system integrators, and production district representatives to discuss developments and challenges in the design supply chain. Key topics included transformation processes, workflow integration, regulatory compliance, and the evolving skills required for innovation and implementation in the sector.
Thomas Rosolia, CEO of Koelnmesse Italia, said, “We are very satisfied with the results of this edition which reflect the successful collaboration between our partners, industry associations, and exhibiting companies. Together, we have created a practical and valuable event for all professionals across the supply chain. The two-day exhibition was designed to provide opportunities for learning, discussion, and networking for those responsible for strategic and operational decision-making within their companies, helping them navigate market developments and respond effectively to evolving regulatory requirements.”
Carlotta Benardelli, Project Manager of interzum forum italy concluded: “Companies recognized the value of the engagement journey developed with professionals and architects, understanding the opportunity to create a direct dialogue with key stakeholders across the supply chain. Our goal was to build a truly useful context, capable of generating qualified relationships and providing companies with concrete tools to better interpret ongoing transformations and convert them into concrete opportunities for growth and development.”
The congress
The congress explored the evolution of subcontracting across industries, focusing on sustainability, innovation, and changing lifestyles. Key themes included the kitchen as integrated living architecture, hybrid and wellbeing-oriented spaces, marine contract solutions, and the bedding sector’s response to ecodesign and sleep-quality demands. Innovation was central throughout the program, with discussions on AI, computational design, Life Cycle Assessment, and low-impact materials. Attention was also given to interiors for mobility sectors – from campers to superyachts – alongside smart furniture and IoT integration in connected living systems. Sessions on office, hospitality, and contract interiors, supported by international case studies, highlighted how the industry is addressing digitalization, flexibility, inclusivity, and sustainability with a strategic approach.
Surface in Motion
Surface in Motion also presented a broad and diverse conference program, offering an in-depth overview of the latest developments shaping the world of surfaces and decorative technologies. Opening the agenda, CSIL provided a comprehensive analysis of the European furniture industry, setting the stage for a series of discussions focused on decorative printing, innovative surface technologies, sustainable finishing solutions, and next-generation materials. The program also explored the relationship between sensory perception, emotion, and material design, while examining the most relevant international trends currently influencing the global market.
